About Us
Making a Difference
Lord Selkirk Park Adult Learning Program was founded with one purpose - to build a space for all adult learners to grow, learn and create with each passing day. Through a unique teaching approach and truly passionate staff, we help adult learners develop academically and personally to the highest level by individualizing each learner's academic and personal development plan.

The program currently runs during the following days and hours:

Wednesday- 9:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M., 1:00-3:00 P.M.
Thursday- - 9:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M., 1:00-3:00 P.M.
Friday-9:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M.

General Information
Lord Selkirk Park Adult Learning Program is open to anyone 18 years or older, who has been out of school for at least one year. Supplies are provided. An assessment is completed upon registration.

Our Goals
- To provide an opportunity for learners to develop and achieve educational, personal and employment goals.
- To develop a partnership with learners to achieve their goals.
- To assist learners to access training and post-secondary education through community referrals and partnerships.
- To partner with community programs and organizations to offer supports for learners and their families.
- To provide a friendly educational and respectful environment where all adult learners have an opportunity to pursue their personal, employment and educational goals.

Margaret is the perfect fit for the Lord Selkirk Park Adult Learning Program. Margaret has been in education for over thirty years. She has been with the program from the beginning, and strives to ensure the program runs smoothly..
Chelsea
Instructor
With true passion and dedication to give back to the community, Chelsea joined our team in 2018. With having years of experience in adult education and upgrading, she strives to help as many adult learners as possible to meet their personal, educational and employment goals!

Educational Assistant
Admired by students and staff, Monica works hard to make sure all the needs of the adult learners are met. She is friendly, intelligent and lights up the room upon her entrance. Monica makes the program atmosphere feel like home!

Computer Instructor/program volunteer/learner
Nitasha is very talented and filled with knowledge when it comes to computers. Nitasha has progresses within our program to be able to take on not only a learner roll, but also a program volunteer and now computer instructor. We are very proud and honored to have you with us!

Senior Emotional Support Dog
Arty, who might we add is very vocal, is our Senior Emotional Support Dog. Arty has been with us for 4 years. Although partly retired, Arty still pops by to say hello every once in a while!
